Current Opening

There is an upcoming vacancy on the Housing and Redevelopment Commission (HRC). The HRC is responsible for providing oversight of the physical structure of Safe Home. Safe Home is a 33-unit Housing First, evidence-based program providing long-term housing to the chronically homeless with severe alcohol dependency.

 

If you are a resident of Minnehaha County, or an adjacent county (Lake, Lincoln, McCook, Moody, or Turner) you are eligible to apply.

 

The Minnehaha County Commission will accept applications from now through Friday, May 1, 2026, at 3 p.m. This appointment will be effective June 1, 2026, for a term of 5 years. Applications will be considered at a regular Commission meeting in May 2026.
